Each hosting account is given access to Modular Gateway Interface (MGI) modules. MGI is a tag-based programming language. Unlike most languages that are difficult to learn, many MGI tags are as easy as HTML. MGI was designed by Page Planet Software, Inc. to be used by web designers, not programming gurus. When combined, the tags can help you create incredibly powerful and interactive websites, yet, some are very simply to use.

For example, if you want to show the time and date on your web page, you would do this:

Today is <mgiDate>. It is now <mgiTime>.

Some of the tags are literally THAT easy to use! Do you see the quote in the upper right hand corner of the page? That quote is randomly pulled from a single field database, with just one line of code. We could have also just put the quotes in a text file and had MGI randomly select them too.

Each module contains MGI tags that do everything from counter and forms processing to online databases and shopping baskets. Your access to a particular module depends on the type of account that you choose - Silver, Gold, or Platinum. The following is a break-down of the modules included with each account and the MGI Tags (specific functions) you can use within each module. To determine the specific functions of each tag, download a .PDF copy of the MGI Users Guide (below).
