E-commerce sites are currently the rage, with many companies turning to the Internet as a new way to expand their market share.

If you have products that you would like to sell over the Internet, please keep a few things in mind when evaluating companies to build your e-commerce website:

  1. Do you have a plan to bring visitors to your site? Visitors will not simply flock to your site because you have placed information online. See our section on search engine marketing for ideas.
  2. Do you plan to alert your current customer base? If they order online, will this positively or negatively affect your current sales operational structure?
  3. If you are a manufacturer, will putting your products online affect your distribution or dealer channels? Would you be interested in having a distance-based dealer locator system? There are several ways to actually augment your relationship with dealers/distributors; ask us.

It's important to understand the dynamics of online shopping. There's far more involved than just putting some pictures online and some pricing and hoping for the best. We've built a number of e-commerce sites for our clients, and we've built e-commerce sites of our own. If you leverage what we know, and our ability to create an e-commerce platform, your chances of having a successful site will greatly increase.

We also work with other design firms who need our expertise in site coding and database programming. If your design firm is looking for a firm to partner with for these types of services along with website hosting, and a firm where your clients will be protected (we don't steal clients), please contact us.

"Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity."
